1. Who we are

AMSA tools is a one-person independent software studio that operates amsatools.com and the desktop applications offered through it. This policy explains how we handle personal information for the website and account system. If you have questions, email support@amsatools.com.

2. What we collect and why

  • Name (optional) — to address you in the app and in account emails.
  • Email address — to create your account, send sign-in / password and account emails, and contact you about your account.
  • Password — stored only as a salted hash; we never store or see your plaintext password.
  • IP address — used transiently for security and rate-limiting (for example, throttling sign-in and registration attempts to deter abuse).
  • App version and entitlements — which apps your account is licensed for and the version you have, so downloads, licensing, and updates work.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell your personal information.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in — it is required for the site to function. Your browser also stores a theme preference (light/dark) in localStorage on your own device; that preference never leaves your browser. Because we use only an essential cookie and a local preference — and no advertising or analytics trackers — we do not show a consent banner, but we disclose this here so you know what is set.

4. Service providers (sub-processors)

We keep our supply chain small:

  • Resend — sends our transactional account emails (sign-in links, password resets, confirmations). Your email address is shared with Resend only to deliver those messages.
  • Hostinger — hosts the website and database on a virtual private server. Your data is stored there.

5. Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. Security and rate-limiting data such as IP addresses are kept only as long as needed for that purpose and then discarded or rotated. When you delete your account, we delete your personal account data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with the law or resolve disputes.

6. Your rights and choices

You can access and correct your account information from your account page, and you can delete your account there as well. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise any of these, use your account page or email support@amsatools.com and we will help.

7. Children

The site and Apps are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and reflect the changes on this page. Please check back occasionally.
