1. Acceptance of these terms

AMSA tools (“AMSA tools,” “we,” “us”) is a one-person independent software studio that operates the website at amsatools.com and the desktop applications offered through it (the “Apps”). By creating an account, downloading an App, or otherwise using the site, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or the Apps.

2. Your account

Some features — including downloading and licensing the Apps — require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your password confidential, and to be responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@amsatools.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to hold an account.

3. License to use the Apps

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Apps on devices you control, for your own use. Access is granted per product and may be tied to your account. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the Apps, and you may not circumvent the account-gating, licensing, or update mechanisms. We may release updates, and some updates may be required for the Apps to keep working.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site or the Apps to break the law, infringe someone else’s rights, interfere with or disrupt our systems or other users, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or reverse engineer the Apps except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by applicable law. You are responsible for how you use the Apps on your own machine.

5. Plugins are third-party and at your own risk

The Apps can load plugins. Plugins are currently invite-only and are created by third-party developers. While we review and sign plugins distributed through our marketplace, plugins are not authored by us and run with access to the host application. You install and run plugins at your own risk, and we are not responsible for third-party plugin behavior. Developers who build plugins agree to ship only code they have the rights to distribute.

6. Downloads and licensing are account-gated

Installers and license entitlements are delivered through your account. We may grant, limit, suspend, or revoke access to a given App at our discretion, including where required to protect users, comply with the law, or address misuse.

7. No warranty

The site and the Apps are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site or the Apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Some Apps may be pre-1.0 and under active development.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AMSA tools will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the site or the Apps. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the site or the Apps is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, for the App giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of the site or the Apps after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the site and the Apps at any time and may delete your account from your account page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue an App or the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including license restrictions, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.
